James A. Kowalski

James A. Kowalski
James defends individuals charged with state and federal criminal offenses, with a particular focus on white-collar crimes, drug offenses, DUI defense, and expungements. He is a vigorous advocate who treats every client with dignity regardless of charge, and works tirelessly to ensure due process is upheld at every stage of the proceedings.
Before joining the firm, James clerked for a federal district court judge, an experience that gave him deep insight into how judges evaluate evidence, weigh credibility, and apply sentencing guidelines. He uses this knowledge to craft defense strategies that are firmly grounded in procedural reality.
James is bilingual in English and Polish and regularly serves clients in immigrant communities who face unique vulnerabilities in the criminal justice system.
